Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour - 2 c
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- Wesson oil - 1 c
- prunes, cut into small pieces - 1 c
- lump of oleo - 1 item
How to make prune cake:
Icing:1/2 c. buttermilk3/4 c. sugar1 tsp. vanilla1/2 tsp. soda lump of oleo Beat eggs lightly; add sugar and beat. Add oil and beat. Sift flour, salt, spices and soda; add mixture alternately with buttermilk. Blend in prunes and chopped nuts. Pour into greased tube cake pan. Bake 45 minutes at 350°.Icing: Boil all ingredients together for 1 minute. Punch holes in cake with toothpick; pour icing over cake while hot.
