Prune cake

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 2 c
• cinnamon - 1 tsp
• eggs - 3 item
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• salt - 1/2 tsp
• chopped nuts - 1 c
• flour - 2 c
• nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
• soda - 1 tsp
• buttermilk - 1 c
• Wesson oil - 1 c
• prunes, cut into small pieces - 1 c
• lump of oleo - 1 item

How to make prune cake:

Icing:1/2 c. buttermilk3/4 c. sugar1 tsp. vanilla1/2 tsp. soda lump of oleo Beat eggs lightly; add sugar and beat. Add oil and beat. Sift flour, salt, spices and soda; add mixture alternately with buttermilk. Blend in prunes and chopped nuts. Pour into greased tube cake pan. Bake 45 minutes at 350°.

Icing: Boil all ingredients together for 1 minute. Punch holes in cake with toothpick; pour icing over cake while hot.
