Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour - 2 c
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- corn syrup - 1 Tbsp
- cloves - 1 tsp
- stick oleo - 1 item
- Wesson oil - 1 c
- fig preserves - 1 c
- Add eggs, butter and milk gradually
How to make fig cake:
Sift dry ingredients and add oil; beat well. Add eggs, butter and milk gradually. Add figs, nuts and vanilla. Bake at 325° for 45 minutes.Frosting:1/2 buttermilk1 c. sugar1 stick oleo1 Tbsp. corn syrup1 tsp. vanilla Mix all ingredients together and boil 3 minutes.
