Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 8 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 Tbsp
- sifted plain flour
- Crisco 2 c - 1 lb
How to make pound cake:
Cream the Crisco and sugar together. Add milk and vanilla. Beat well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well. Alternate with flour. Beat well after each addition. Pour into a well-greased tube pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.An old Alabama recipe.
