Ingredients/Components
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- whole eggs - 6 item
- box coconut - 1 item
- milk - 1 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- plain flour - 3 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- sugar
- Add eggs
- water - 1 c
- coconut extract - 3 tsp
- white Karo syrup - 1/2 c
How to make coconut pound cake:
Cream the Crisco and sugar. Add eggs. Add flour, baking powder, salt and milk. Beat well. Add vanilla and coconut. Pour into a tube pan which has been well-greased and floured. Bake at 325° for 1 hour. Pour Sauce over top.Sauce:2 c. sugar1 c. water3 tsp. coconut extract1/2 c. white Karo syrup Boil all ingredients for 5 minutes.
