Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3 c
  • vanilla extract - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/8 tsp
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • whipping cream - 1/2 pt
  • flour Red Band all-purpose - 3 c
  • large eggs, added one at a time - 6 item
  • sticks Parkay margarine or Land O Lakes butter your choice - 2 item

How to make pound cake:

Cream eggs, sugar and margarine. Add whipping cream and vanilla. Mix well. Add flour (sifted), salt and baking powder. Pour into 3 small pans or 2 loaf pans or tube pans, greased and floured. Bake in cold oven at 350° for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
