- sugar
- eggs - 6 item
- salt - 1 tsp
- vanilla flavoring - 1 tsp
- self-rising flour - 1 c
- plain flour - 3 c
- boxes raisins - 2 item
How to make raisin cake:
Place butter in mixing bowl in oven and warm to soften. Blend in sugar. Add eggs one at a time while mixing slowly. Add salt, flavoring and flour, blending well. Stir in raisins with mixing spoon. Batter will be stiff. This prevents raisins from settling to bottom. Makes a large tube cake. Bake at 300° for 2 hours.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Fruit.
