Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- salt
- flour - 6 7
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- yeast - 2 pkg
- lukewarm water - 1/2 c
- warm, mashed potatoes - 1 c
- shortening and butter, mixed - 2/3 c
How to make potato rolls:
Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup lukewarm water and set aside. Combine potatoes, sugar, salt and 1 cup lukewarm water in bowl. Add yeast mixture, eggs and shortening-butter mixture. Stir in flour gradually. Mix well. Place in a greased bowl and let rise until double its size. Punch down and form rolls. Let the rolls rise until double in size. Bake at 400° for 12 to 15 minutes.
