Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1/4 c
- shortening - 1/2 c
- sifted flour - 2 c
- mashed bananas - 3 item
How to make banana nut bread:
Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and salt. Beat thoroughly until light and fluffy. Stir soda into milk. Add flour and milk alternately and beat well. Add mashed bananas, nuts and vanilla.Bake in 2 greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pans at 350° for about 1 hour.
