Potato leek soup
Ingredients/Components
- milk
- salt - 2 tsp
- butter - 1/4 c
- water - 3 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chicken bouillon cubes - 2 item
- thyme - 1/8 tsp
- dill weed - 1/8 tsp
- mashed potatoes - 2 c
- medium potatoes, peeled and sliced thin - 3 item
- large leeks, sliced thin - 4 item
How to make potato leek soup:
Simmer leeks in butter until tender. Add water, chicken bouillon cubes, all seasonings and sliced potatoes. Cook, uncovered, about 20 minutes. Add milk and mashed potatoes. Stir gently and heat to boiling.Recipe categories: Potato, Vegetables, Soups & stews.
