  • sour cream - 1 (16
  • stick margarine - 1 item
  • corn flakes - 1 c
  • can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
  • can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
  • salt to taste - 1 item
  • medium onion, chopped - 1 item
  • Southern style hash browns frozen - 2 lb

How to make potato casserole:

Brown onion in 1/2 stick margarine in skillet. In large mixing bowl, mix hash browns, cheese, soups, sour cream and salt. Add cooked onion. Melt 1/2 stick margarine in skillet, then add corn flakes. Put potato mixture in 3-quart oblong casserole. Sprinkle cornflakes on top and bake at 350° for 45 to 55 minutes.
