Ingredients/Components

  • pkg - 1 oz
  • sour cream - 1 (8
  • stick margarine - 1 item
  • chopped onion - 1 item
  • can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
  • large fryer or 6 large chicken breasts - 1 item
  • to 8 slices white bread, cubed - 6 item

How to make chicken noodle casserole:

Cook fryer with onion in enough water to have at least 1 quart of broth until fryer is done. Cool and debone; break meat into pieces. Cook noodles. Mix chicken, noodles, broth, soups, sour cream and salt and pepper to taste. Pour into a 10 1/2 x 14 1/2-inch baking dish or pan. Cover with bread cubes, then melt margarine and spoon over top of bread layer. Bake at 350° until golden brown, about 45 minutes.
