Pork and apple casserole
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- cinnamon
- nutmeg - 1/8 tsp
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- cooking apples, peeled and sliced - 4 item
- pork chops, trimmed of fat - 6 item
- thick onion slices - 6 item
- hard butter, cut into 6 pieces - 2 Tbsp
How to make pork and apple casserole:
Place apples in a large, lightly greased baking dish and sprinkle with sugar and spices. Place chops on apples. Place a slice of onion on each chop and top with a piece of butter. Cover and bake at 250° for 60 to 70 minutes. Remove cover to brown slightly for 10 minutes. Makes 6 servings.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, Pork sausage.
