Pork and apple pie



Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- butter or margarine - 3 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- brown sugar - 5 Tbsp
- chopped walnuts - 1/2 c
- cream - 1/4 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- hot mashed yams - 3 c
- apples, pared and thinly sliced - 3 item
- leftover pork, cut in 1-inch cubes - 3 c
- leftover gravy from pork - 1 c
How to make pork and apple pie:
Alternate layers of meat and apples in greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan or Pyrex dish. Sprinkle each layer of apples with sugar and cinnamon. Add gravy. Combine yams and butter and beat until smooth. Blend in cream. Add salt and pepper. Spread over pork mixture. Sprinkle with walnuts. Bake at 350° to 375° for 45 minutes.
