Porcupine balls
Ingredients/Components
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- small onion - 1 item
- ground beef lean - 2 lb
- green pepper optional - 1 item
- Lipton onion soup mix - 1 pkg
- chopped celery optional - 1 item
- rice uncooked
- salt and pepper optional - 1 item
- fresh mushrooms optional - 1 item
- can tomato or mushroom sauce - 1 oz
How to make porcupine balls:
Preheat oven to 350°. Thoroughly mix all ingredients in bowl. Shape meat into small balls (will be twice as big when done). Place the balls on a cookie sheet and bake in oven for 20 to 30 minutes. Reduce oven heat to 300° and remove meatballs. Put meatballs in deep baking dish and pour tomato sauce or mushroom sauce over them.
