Ingredients/Components
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- ground meat - 1 lb
- bacon drippings - 1 item
- pinto beans - 1 lb
- onions, garlic powder, bell pepper optional - 1 item
How to make taco beans:
Cook pinto beans in lightly salted water along with bacon drippings. When beans are almost done, brown the ground meat and drain. Mix into beans and continue cooking.When beans are done, dissolve taco seasoning in a small amount of water and add to the beans and meat. Let heat; add salt and pepper to taste. Serve over rice with a big piece of cornbread. Now, that's good eating!
Note: Additional pieces of onions, bell pepper, or garlic powder may be used to season the beans according to your taste.
