  • sugar - 2 tsp
  • white wine vinegar - 1 c
  • fresh strawberries, sliced - 4 c

How to make strawberry vinegar:

Combine strawberries and vinegar in a bowl, cover and let stand at room temperature 24 hours; stir occasionally. Strain mixture through cheesecloth and discard all seeds. Stir in sugar and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and let cool. Pour vinegar into decorative jars and seal. Yields about 2 cups. Serve over salads.
