Pittsburgh potatoes
Ingredients/Components
- sour cream
- butter or margarine - 1/2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/3 c
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 2 c
- medium potatoes - 6 item
How to make pittsburgh potatoes:
Cook potatoes in skins. When cool, peel and shred coarsely. Shred cheese. Heat 1/2 cup butter and cheese until almost melted. Remove from heat, stir in sour cream, onion, salt and pepper. Fold in potatoes. Put into 2-quart casserole and dot with 2 tablespoons butter. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes.Recipe categories: Side dish, Potato, Cheese.
