  • onion, coarsely chopped - 1 item
  • tsp salt - 1/4 item
  • Drain
  • c milk - 1 item
  • tsp pepper - 1/8 item
  • tbsp flour - 2 item
  • medium potatoes, cubed - 6 item
  • can pimento, cut in pieces - 1 item
  • c grated cheese, American or Sharp - 1 item

How to make pittsburgh potatoes:

Parboil potatoes for 15 minutes. Drain. Combine with remaining ingredients and sauce (recipe to follow). Place in casserole. Bake at 375° for 30 minutes or until cheese is melted.Sauce:2 tbsp butter1/4 tsp salt2 tbsp flour1/8 tsp pepper1 c milk Combine all ingredients. Cook until thick.
