  • pkg - 6 oz
  • brown sugar - 1 tsp
  • cornstarch - 4 tsp
  • cooking oil - 1 Tbsp
  • can chow mein noodles - 1 item
  • unsweetened pineapple juice - 3/4 1
  • teriyaki sauce - 3 Tbsp
  • can pineapple chunks - 8 oz
  • medium carrots, julienned - 2 item
  • frozen chicken chunks - 12 oz

How to make pineapple chicken stir-fry:

Stir-fry chicken chunks. Drain pineapple, reserving juice. Add additional pineapple juice to make 1 1/4 cups. Combine juice, teriyaki sauce, cornstarch and brown sugar; set aside.

In wok or large pan, heat oil and stir-fry carrots for 4 minutes or until crisp-tender. Stir in juice mixture, pineapple chunks and pea pods, cooking until thick and bubbly. Cook for 2 minutes more. Add chicken and heat through. Serve over chow mein noodles.
