Hawaiian chicken stir-fry
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- water - 1/4 c
- vinegar - 2 Tbsp
- cooking oil - 1 Tbsp
- can chow mein noodles - 1 oz
- ground ginger - 1/4 tsp
- soy sauce - 2 Tbsp
- diced chicken - 2 c
- crushed red pepper - 1/4 1/2
- can pineapple chunks - 1 1/4
- onion powder - 1/2 tsp
How to make hawaiian chicken stir-fry:
Thaw broccoli. Drain pineapple, reserving juice.For Sauce: Stir together juice, water, vinegar, soy sauce, cornstarch, onion powder, red pepper and ginger. Set aside.
Preheat a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add oil (add more oil as needed). Stir-fry broccoli 2 minutes until crisp-tender. Remove from wok. Add chicken to hot wok. Stir-fry for 1 to 2 minutes or until cooked through. Push from center of wok.
Stir sauce to center of wok. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir 2 minutes more. Add broccoli and mix well. Reduce heat. Stir in pineapple. Cover and cook for 1 minute or until heated through. Serve over noodles and/or rice.
