- sugar - 2 c
- milk
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- butter - 1 c
- eggs, separated - 4 item
- baking powder
- Pineapple Filling:1 large can crushed pineapple
How to make pineapple cake:
Pineapple Filling:1 large can crushed pineapple1 c. sugar2 Tbsp. flour2 Tbsp. butter Cream butter and sugar; add beaten egg yolks. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add to cream mixture, alternately with milk. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites, divide mixture and place in 3 prepared cake pans. Bake at 400° for 30 to 40 minutes.Drain pineapple, reserving juice. Add sugar, flour and butter to pineapple juice. Cook until thick. Add pineapple and spread on hot cake.
