Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 qt
- vinegar - 1 qt
- allspice - 1 Tbsp
- stick cinnamon - 1 item
- whole cloves - 1 Tbsp
- mace - 1 Tbsp
How to make pickled carrots:
Boil young carrots until skin slips; remove skin. Slice or leave whole. Pour syrup, spices (in a bag), sugar and boiling hot over carrots. Let stand overnight. Bring to a boil for 5 minutes. Remove spices and pack in jars. Pour syrup over carrots and seal.Recipe categories: Low protein, Vegetables, Carrots.
