Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- water - 1 c
- vinegar - 1 c
- stick cinnamon - 1 item
- whole cloves - 3 item
- medium carrots - 10 item
- white mustard seed - 2 Tbsp
How to make pickled carrots:
Wash and pare carrots. Cut in 1/4-inch thick sticks. Cook in boiling salted water until tender. Combine remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling point. Simmer for 20 minutes. Pack carrots in hot sterilized jars. Pour vinegar mixture over carrots and seal.Recipe categories: Low protein, Vegetables, Carrots.
