Ingredients/Components
- granulated sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- water - 1 c
- whole cloves - 6 item
- Heinz distilled white vinegar - 2 c
- 3-inch cinnamon stick - 1 item
- fresh beets 24 small
- onions, sliced 2 or 3 medium - 1/2 lb
How to make pickled beets:
Remove beet tops, leaving 1-inch stems and tap roots. Wash beets; cook in boiling water until tender. Drain, peel and slice beets.
