Ingredients/Components
- salt - 3 tsp
- vinegar - 3/4 1
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- tomatoes - 5 lb
- onions - 1 lb
- hot peppers - 2 lb
How to make picante sauce:
Chop or grind peppers and onions. Peel tomatoes or use canned tomatoes. Add onions and pepper to chopped tomatoes. Simmer 10 minutes. Seal in pint or half-pint jars. Process 15 minutes, if desired. Makes 6 to 8 pints.Recipe categories: Sauces, Dips, Savory sauces.
