Pepper relish
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- vinegar - 1 pt
- chopped onions - 1 pt
- celery seed - 2 tsp
- chopped green peppers - 1 pt
- mustard seed - 2 tsp
- chopped red peppers - 1 pt
How to make pepper relish:
Place peppers and onions in saucepan. Cover with water. Bring to boil. Remove from fire and let stand 10 minutes; drain. Mix sugar, vinegar and spices; bring to a boil in separate saucepan. Add peppers and onions to sugar and vinegar; bring to a boil. Cook slowly 15 minutes. Pack in hot jars; seal. Process in water bath.
