Ingredients/Components

  • sugar
  • cinnamon - 2 Tbsp
  • salt - 1 Tbsp
  • water - 1 c
  • vinegar - 1 qt
  • cloves - 2 tsp
  • allspice - 2 tsp
  • dry mustard - 2 Tbsp
  • chopped onion - 1 c
  • celery seed - 1 Tbsp
  • chopped cabbage - 1 qt
  • chopped green peppers - 1 c
  • mustard seed - 1 Tbsp
  • turmeric - 1 Tbsp
  • chopped red peppers - 1 c
  • cut corn - 2 qt
  • strong vinegar - 4 c

How to make corn relish:

Bring to boil, pour over beets and boil 10 minutes. Pack into sterilized jars and seal. No salt. Makes 12 pints.
