Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- egg whites, beaten stiff - 3 item
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- Ritz crackers, rolled fine - 14 item
- cut up pecans - 1 c
How to make pecan pie:
Easy and delicious.Beat whites with a pinch of salt. Add sugar gradually. Add vanilla, crumbs, nuts and baking powder. Pour into a well buttered pie pan and bake 30 minutes at 350°. Before serving, top with 1/2 pint whipping cream mixed with a teaspoon of vanilla and 3 or 4 tablespoons powdered sugar. Beat well.
