  • sugar - 1 c
  • vanilla - 1/2 tsp
  • egg whites, beaten stiff - 3 item
  • baking powder - 2 tsp
  • Ritz crackers, rolled fine - 14 item
  • cut up pecans - 1 c

How to make pecan pie:

Easy and delicious.

Beat whites with a pinch of salt. Add sugar gradually. Add vanilla, crumbs, nuts and baking powder. Pour into a well buttered pie pan and bake 30 minutes at 350°. Before serving, top with 1/2 pint whipping cream mixed with a teaspoon of vanilla and 3 or 4 tablespoons powdered sugar. Beat well.
