Ingredients/Components

  • chopped pecans - 1 c
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • soda - 1/2 tsp
  • Crisco - 1/2 c
  • margarine - 1/2 c
  • light brown sugar
  • eggs, well beaten - 2 item
  • plain flour, sifted
  • regular sugar - 1 c

How to make pecan crispies:

Thoroughly cream shortening, margarine and sugar. Add eggs. Beat well. Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Add nuts. Drop by teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet, about 2-inches apart. May roll into 2 rolls and refrigerate until needed.
