Baked oatmeal
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- nuts - 1/2 c
- cooking oil - 1/4 c
- raisins
- quick oats
- sliced apples - 1 item
How to make baked oatmeal:
Optional:1/2 c. raisins1/2 c. nuts1/2 tsp. cinnamon sliced apples Baking Temperature: 350°. Baking Time: 30 minutes.Combine oil, sugar and egg. Add rest of ingredients and mix. Pour into greased 8-inch square cake pan. Serve with milk. You may add 1/2 cup raisins, 1/2 cup nuts and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon or line the pan with sliced apples.
Variation: Recipe may be doubled and all ingredients mixed in blender. Pour into greased 9 x 12-inch pan and bake.
Variation: May use brown sugar instead of white or half brown and half white. May be served without milk. People who don't like oatmeal say they like this. Yield: 4 to 5 servings.
