Peanut butter fudge
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- sour cream - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 4 Tbsp
- peanut butter - 2/3 c
- white sugar - 4 c
- white corn syrup - 2/3 c
- chopped nuts if wanted - 2 c
How to make peanut butter fudge:
Combine white sugar, sour cream, white corn syrup, butter and salt in a heavy pan. Bring very slowly to a boil, stirring until all sugar has melted. Cover and boil without stirring for 3 minutes, so all sugar crystals are dissolved. Uncover and boil on medium heat to 240°. Remove from heat and let stand for 15 minutes. Do not stir. Then add vanilla and beat until mixture begins to lose its gloss. Add peanut butter and continue beating (add nuts).
