Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- shortening
- soda - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- nutmeg according to taste - 1 item
- sour cream - 1 c
- butter - 1 lb
- brown sugar - 1 lb
- white sugar - 2 c
- unbeaten eggs - 8 item
- almond extract - 1 tsp
- flour - 8 c
- salt - 2 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- whiskey - 1 2
- eggs - 8 item
- powdered sugar - 2 lb
- butter the size of an egg - 1 item
- milk - 3 Tbsp
- few drops anise oil - 1 item
- grated rind of lemon - 1 item
- whiskey if desired - 1 2
How to make kringla:
Mix in order given. Dough should be stiff enough not to be sticky. Let rest for 30 minutes or so. Roll out, print, cut and set on greased cookie sheet on which you have sprinkled anise seed.
