Peach bread pudding
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 1 c
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- slices white bread, quartered diagonally - 5 item
- whipped cream optional - 1 item
- can peaches or fruit cocktail, sliced and drained - 1 3/4
- sugar - 1/3 c
- ground cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- ginger or nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
How to make peach bread pudding:
Preheat oven to 350°. Combine eggs, milk and vanilla; add bread and drained peaches. In small bowl, combine sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Reserve 1 1/2 teaspoons of sugar mixture; set aside. Add remaining sugar mixture to peach mixture; mix well.Turn into a 10 x 6 x 2-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with reserved sugar mixture. Place baking dish in shallow pan on oven rack and pour hot water around dish to a depth of 1 inch. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Serve warm, topped with whipped cream.
