  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 1/4 c
  • sour cream - 1 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour
  • melted margarine - 1 Tbsp
  • baking powder
  • margarine, softened - 1 c
  • powdered sugar
  • chopped walnuts - 1 c
  • ground cinnamon - 1/2 tsp

How to make walnut coffee cake:

Filling:2 Tbsp. sugar1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon1 c. chopped walnuts Glaze:3/4 c. powdered sugar1 Tbsp. melted margarine1 Tbsp. milk1 tsp. vanilla1/2 c. chopped walnuts Preheat oven to 350°. In a large mixing bowl, cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and milk, beating at medium speed of an electric mixer until smooth. In a medium bowl, sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Gradually stir dry ingredients into creamed mixture. Beat until well blended. Beat in sour cream and vanilla. Spoon 1/2 of batter into a greased and floured Bundt pan; set aside.

For filling, combine sugar, cinnamon and walnuts in a small bowl. Spoon filling evenly over batter in pan. Spoon rest of batter over filling; swirl it with a knife. Bake 1 hour. Test with toothpick; if not done, bake another 15 minutes. Turn out onto wire rack and cool completely.

For glaze, sift powdered sugar in a small bowl and stir in margarine. Add milk and vanilla; stir until smooth. Drizzle glaze over cake. Sprinkle walnuts over glaze.
