Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- milk
- flour - 4 Tbsp
- stick butter - 1/2 item
- grated Parmesan cheese - 3/4 c
- parsley flakes - 1 Tbsp
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- ground beef - 1 lb
- oregano - 1 tsp
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- elbow macaroni, cooked and drained - 1 c
- cloves garlic, chopped - 2 item
- red wine - 1/3 c
- eggs, slightly beaten and separated - 4 item
How to make pastitsio:
Brown together beef, onion and garlic. Add spices, tomato sauce and wine. Bring to a boil, stirring in one egg. Melt butter. Stir in flour and add 1 1/2 cup milk and cook until thick. Add salt and pepper to taste. Gradually stir into 2 beaten eggs anRecipe categories: Main dish, European, Greek.
