Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 tsp
  • olive oil - 3 Tbsp
  • fresh parsley - 1/4 c
  • garlic cloves, minced - 3 item
  • salt or to taste - 2 tsp
  • pasta
  • red pepper flakes optional - 1/4 tsp
  • thickly sliced bacon - 1/2 lb
  • 1/2 onions, coarsely chopped - 2 item
  • can chopped tomatoes and liquid - 1 oz

How to make pasta with tomato and bacon sauce:

Fry bacon until crisp and drain. Pour all grease except 1 tablespoon from skillet. Add olive oil and onions to skillet. Saute onions until wilted. Stir in garlic, tomatoes, salt, sugar and red pepper. Simmer 30 minutes to reduce liquid. Crumble bacon and add along with parsley. Serve over pasta and garnish with grated Parmesan cheese.
