Overnight caramel french toast
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- butter - 1/2 c
- eggs, beaten - 6 item
- light corn syrup - 2 Tbsp
- brown sugar, packed - 1 c
- slices sandwich bread - 12 item
How to make overnight caramel french toast:
Combine sugar, butter and syrup in small saucepan. Cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring constantly. Pour syrup mixture into 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish. Place 6 slices of bread on top of syrup. Top with remaining 6 slices of bread.Combine eggs, milk, vanilla and salt, stirring until well blended. Pour evenly over bread. Cover and chill 8 hours or overnight. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes until lightly browned.
