Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1 tsp
  • cold water - 2 qt
  • chopped celery - 1/2 c
  • can tomatoes, cut up - 1 oz
  • small onion, diced - 1 item
  • head cabbage, chopped - 1/4 item
  • can cut green beans - 1 oz
  • barley or rice - 1/4 c
  • grated potato - 1 c
  • pot herb - 1 item
  • or 6 carrots, grated - 5 item
  • beef soup bone marrow - 1 item

How to make vegetable soup:

Cook bone, pot herb, water, onion and salt slowly for 2 hours. Add vegetables and continue cooking 1 hour. Serves 8 to 10.
