Old fashioned apple crisp
Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 3/4 tsp
- granulated sugar - 1/2 3/4
- packed brown sugar - 1/3 c
- cornstarch - 1 tsp
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- unsifted flour - 1/2 c
- raisins - 1/3 c
- quick cooking oats - 1 c
- margarine, melted - 1/3 c
- real lemon juice - 1/4 c
- sliced and cored apples - 6 c
How to make old fashioned apple crisp:
Preheat oven to 350°. In large bowl, combine sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and lemon juice. Mix well. Add apples and raisins. Turn into 8-inch square baking dish.In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Sprinkle evenly over apples. Bake 30 to 40 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve warm.
Microwave: Increase cornstarch to 2 tablespoons. Prepare as stated. Turn apple mixture into 8-inch dish. Cook on High for 8 minutes. Top with oat mixture and cook on High for 7 more minutes or until tender.
