Old-fashioned apple crisp
Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 3/4 tsp
- granulated sugar - 1/2 3/4
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- unsifted flour - 1/2 c
- raisins - 1/3 c
- lemon juice - 1/4 c
- quick-cooking oats - 1 c
- margarine or butter, melted - 1/3 c
- firmly packed light brown sugar - 1/3 c
- pared, sliced all-purpose apples about 2 1/2 lb - 6 c
How to make old-fashioned apple crisp:
Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, combine sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and lemon juice; mix well. Add apples and raisins; turn into 8-inch square baking dish. In small bowl, combine remaining ingredients; sprinkle evenly over apples. Bake 30 to 40 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve warm.Recipe categories: Desserts, Fruit, Apple.
