sugar - 1 c
cinnamon - 1 tsp
salt - 1/2 tsp
flour - 2 c
baking soda - 1/2 tsp
raisins - 1 c
margarine - 1 c
cloves - 1/2 tsp
allspice - 1/2 tsp
quick cooking oatmeal - 2 c
beaten eggs - 2 item
raisin liquid - 6 Tbsp

How to make oatmeal cookies:

Cook raisins in boiling water to cover for 5 minutes. Drain, reserving 6 tablespoons liquid. Thoroughly cream margarine and sugar. Add eggs and beat until smooth. Stir flour, salt, soda and spices together. Mix with oatmeal and add to creamed mixture alternately with raisin liquid. Drop on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes. Will be soft.
