Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour - 1/3 c
- brown sugar - 1 c
- evaporated milk - 1/2 c
- coconut - 1 c
- melted margarine
- soda - 1 tsp
- boiling water
- oatmeal - 1 c
- stick oleo - 1 item
- plain sugar - 1 c
How to make oatmeal cake:
Topping:4 Tbsp. melted margarine1/2 c. evaporated milk1 c. brown sugar1 c. chopped nuts1 c. coconut1 tsp. vanilla Cake: Soak oatmeal for 20 minutes in boiling water. Cream the oleo, sugars and eggs. Mix in the rest of the ingredients and oatmeal. Bake in a 9 x 13-inch pan at 360° for 20 minutes.Topping: Mix together and spread over hot cake, then return to oven for about 10 minutes.
