  • cinnamon - 2 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • flour - 1/3 c
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • evaporated milk - 1/2 c
  • coconut - 1 c
  • melted margarine
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • boiling water
  • oatmeal - 1 c
  • stick oleo - 1 item
  • plain sugar - 1 c

How to make oatmeal cake:

Topping:4 Tbsp. melted margarine1/2 c. evaporated milk1 c. brown sugar1 c. chopped nuts1 c. coconut1 tsp. vanilla Cake: Soak oatmeal for 20 minutes in boiling water. Cream the oleo, sugars and eggs. Mix in the rest of the ingredients and oatmeal. Bake in a 9 x 13-inch pan at 360° for 20 minutes.

Topping: Mix together and spread over hot cake, then return to oven for about 10 minutes.
