  • flour
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • coconut - 1/2 c
  • oil - 1/2 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • boiling water
  • nuts - 1/2 c
  • stick butter - 1 item
  • white sugar - 1 c
  • Minute oats - 1 c
  • Mix remaining ingredients well and add oatmeal

How to make oatmeal cake:

Mix oats and boiling water; let stand. Mix remaining ingredients well and add oatmeal. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes in greased and floured pan. Top with Caramel Nut Topping.Caramel Nut Topping:1 c. brown sugar1/2 c. white sugar1 stick butter1/2 c. coconut1/2 c. nuts In heavy pan, bring to boil for 3 minutes. Pour over Oatmeal Cake.
