Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/4 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- stick margarine - 1 item
- brown sugar - 1 c
- coconut - 1/2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 4 Tbsp
- boiling water
- nuts - 1/2 c
- margarine
- white sugar - 1 c
- Minute oats - 1 c
How to make oatmeal cake:
Topping:6 Tbsp. margarine1/2 c. coconut1 tsp. vanilla1/2 c. nuts1/4 c. milk1/2 c. brown sugar Cake: Mix oatmeal, butter or margarine and 1/2 cup boiling water. Let stand 20 minutes. Add brown sugar, white sugar, eggs, salt, flour, cinnamon, vanilla, cocoa and baking soda. Mix and pour into 13 x 9-inch baking pan. Bake 35 to 40 minutes at 350°.Topping: Mix topping ingredients and spread over cake and return to oven for 5 minutes.
