Ingredients/Components
- salt - 4 tsp
- flour - 12 c
- boiling water - 4 c
- molasses - 1 c
- Crisco - 3 Tbsp
- rolled oats - 2 c
- yeast - 2 pkg
- lukewarm water - 3/4 c
How to make oatmeal bread:
Add boiling water to oats and Crisco. Allow to cool to lukewarm. Add molasses, salt and yeast (dissolved in lukewarm water) with 1 teaspoon sugar (to be sure yeast is good).
