  • eggs - 2 item
  • salt
  • flour - 6 8
  • boiling water - 2 c
  • molasses - 1/2 c
  • rolled oats - 2 c
  • yeast - 3 pkg
  • canola oil - 1/2 c

How to make molasses oatmeal bread:

Will need three 8 3/4 x 4 3/4 x 2 3/4-inch bread pans.

Mix first five ingredients and cool to lukewarm. Soak 3 packages of yeast in 3/4 cup warm water for 5 minutes. Stir into first mixture.

Add eggs and 6 to 8 cups flour. Knead 8 to 10 minutes. Let rise in bowl in a warm place until doubled. Punch down. Divide into thirds and shape into 3 loaves.

Place in a greased loaf pan. Let rise again and bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Spread with butter or margarine while hot.
