Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 2 tsp
- flour - 6 c
- boiling water - 1 c
- Crisco - 1 c
- yeast - 2 pkg
- lukewarm water - 1 c
How to make yeast rolls:
Cream together Crisco, sugar and salt; add boiling water. Let it cool to lukewarm. Mix yeast with 1 cup lukewarm water and add to Crisco/sugar mixture. Add 2 cups flour and eggs. Mix well. Add 4 more cups flour and mix well. Put dough into greased bowl and let it rise for 1 hour. Punch down and place in refrigerator until needed. When ready to make rolls, roll out dough on floured board and cut with biscuit cutter. Put a pat of butter on each roll and fold over to form Parker House Rolls. Let rise for 1 hour and then bake at 375° until brown.Recipe categories: Breads, Low cholesterol, Low fat.
