  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • salt - 2 tsp
  • flour - 6 c
  • boiling water - 1 c
  • Crisco - 1 c
  • yeast - 2 pkg
  • lukewarm water - 1 c

How to make yeast rolls:

Cream together Crisco, sugar and salt; add boiling water. Let it cool to lukewarm. Mix yeast with 1 cup lukewarm water and add to Crisco/sugar mixture. Add 2 cups flour and eggs. Mix well. Add 4 more cups flour and mix well. Put dough into greased bowl and let it rise for 1 hour. Punch down and place in refrigerator until needed. When ready to make rolls, roll out dough on floured board and cut with biscuit cutter. Put a pat of butter on each roll and fold over to form Parker House Rolls. Let rise for 1 hour and then bake at 375° until brown.
