  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 3 c
  • cold water - 5 Tbsp
  • vinegar - 1 Tbsp
  • shortening
  • egg, well beaten - 1 item

How to make never fail pie crust:

Cut shortening into flour and salt. Combine egg, water and vinegar. Add the water to the egg before vinegar; pour liquid into flour mixture all at once. Blend with fork just until flour is all moistened. This is an easy crust to handle and can be re-rolled without toughening. Makes 2 or more double crust pies, depending on the size of pans.
