Ingredients/Components
- water - 3 c
- vinegar - 1 c
- clove garlic - 1 item
- cucumbers - 1 item
- powdered alum
- coarse pickling salt - 1/4 c
- head and some stalk of dill - 1 item
- piece of yellow pepper if desired - 1 item
How to make never fail dill pickles:
Pack washed cucumbers in jars. While packing, add dill, garlic and yellow pepper (if desired). In the top of each jar, put powdered alum. Combine water, vinegar and pickling salt. Heat to boiling, then pour over cucumbers. Add hot lids and process in boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
