Mom's spaghetti
Ingredients/Components
- egg - 1 item
- pepper - 2 tsp
- garlic salt - 2 tsp
- onion salt - 3 tsp
- oregano - 2 tsp
- hamburger - 2 lb
- spaghetti noodles - 1 item
- large can tomato sauce - 1 item
- large can tomatoes - 1 item
- medium can tomato paste - 1 item
- slices damp bread - 4 item
How to make mom's spaghetti:
Pour all cans into a large pot and break up tomatoes. Add half of all the spices (can also add cut-up onion, garlic and green pepper, if desired). Stir well and put on low heat.In a large bowl, mix hamburger meat, egg, bread and rest of spices together with hands. Form into meatballs (about 2 tablespoons each) and place into sauce. Do not stir. Cover pot for 1 hour. After 1 hour, stir gently. Cover again and cook until meatballs are done, about 2 hours. (Drain excess fat, if necessary, while cooking.) Cook noodles per package directions!
